Since the beginning of The Sims, one of the most requested features has always been weather. With our Original Weather Machine, we were able to provide that in a realistic manner by having snow storms, rain showers, fall leaves and (the more surreal) candy showers possible in the game. But the "Holy Grail" of weather has always been to try and simmulate a natural climate without the constant user intervention. We believe that has been achieved here. This Deluxe Weather Machine also comes with new clean-up options and new weather patterns: hail storms, acid rain, meteor showers, tornados, and it can even "rain cats & dogs" (for Unleashed users) ;). Interact and explore fallen meteorites, alien probes, and a variety of other "debris. "

But the biggest feature is the Auto-Seasons option: it actually simulates a "natural climate" that runs autonomously, so weather comes and goes on it's own, somewhat randomly, but always according to the current Season (Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter) just like real weather does! But the user still can have control over it, if they choose to assert it. When Auto-Seasons is turned "on" in the game, every morning Sims get a "Weather Report" telling them what to expect that day. Some days it will be clear and sunny, other days it may not. This feature, like the Original Weather Machine, can also call-forth the snow, rain, fall leaves and even candy showers that come with that download.

Finally have "real" weather for your Sims! Storms are animated and flow across your yard, leaving snow, leaves, or other applicable debris for you to play in. Enjoy summer rainstorms, winter snowflurries, fall leaves blowing about... and for you surreal types there's even a candy storm (with edible candy of course)! Use the Original Weather Machine to make one of six (6) types of storms start instantly. Snow, rainpuddles, candy or leaf piles can accumulate on the ground, depending on the type of storm of course. Increase Fun points by jumping in leaf piles or making snowballs, and for a quick clean up, just click a button to clean your whole yard... instantly. Click a button to stop all showers too -- you can control the amount of weather you get, or you can set the "timer" to get a random surprise.
